Abstraction Releases Version 3.0 of Low Cost System & Workflow Simulation Software.
Prophesy Version 3.0 Now Features an express interface for easier entry-level modeling
ColoradoJanuary 15, 1997 Abstraction released Prophesy Version 3 a low cost Windows based System & Workflow Visual Simulation System capable of simulating computer systems and workflow systems involving requests, services, and queues. Version 3 adds features at both ends of the usability spectrum. "We received feedback that users new to the field of simulation wanted an easier learning curve, while experienced users demanded additional features, which by nature makes the product more sophisticated," said Israel del RioGeneral Manager of Abstraction Consulting. Now, in addition to new features in the standard Prophesy interface, Version 3 includes the Prophesy Express interface. The Express interface acts as a super-wizard to enable even faster model construction by simplifying the model construction process. As users become proficient in simulation and begin to require more powerful features, they can move their models to the full-fledged Prophesy interface.
"We found the Prophesy Express interface to be powerful in its own right," said Novak NiketicPresident of Sutra Inc, a Massachusetts based consulting company"With it, we were able to model the estimated performance of our companys Independence intelligent server. Now we are moving to add further details to our model using the variable parameters available in the expert interface," he added.
Prophesy and Prophesy Express enable the user to play "what-if" scenarios to answer typical questions facing the system and workflow system designer:
Abstraction Consulting has been marketing Prophesy since 1993, and a demo of the product can be downloaded from http://www.abstraction.com/abstraction
